  Iam a beginner felicity and i use photoshop 7 and paintshop pro 7 I guess anyone can use these but as you get to know more you can do more and the worst thing is the more you learn the more you want to learn lol

  If you use Microsoft it has a simple program called Paint. You can do very basic stuff with it. Goto: Start> All Programs> Accessories> Paint. The two Cat mentioned are industry standard programs well worth a look and the dollars.
